Jurassic Park's affect on 90's Film

When Jurassic park was released in 1993 CGI and other technical special affects where still a rarely used asset in filmmaking of the time. Jurassic Park's revolution was technological, but more importantly, it was popular. If Spielberg and Lucas saw the future of cinema in those shots, it was the public who made that future a reality. With Jurassic park grossing over 100 million dollars in the opening week it showed that CGI was able to being about a new film revolution.
